This is such a great photo. Two 1950’s wonders in one photo: A taxiway over a four lane highway and a Boeing Stratocruiser. But what really makes the shot are the young post-WW II families in the foreground. The young baby boomer children in their parents arms will probably not appreciate, until years later, what trials and tribulations their parents and grandparents went through in the prior two decades — to get them to this sunny day in New York — taking it all in.
