The flat top required precision, constant maintenance, and gel that was only sold by the bucket. It’s like a making a Transformers movie; so much work to create something completely terrible.

 

9. The Mohawk aka Your Parents Thought They Were Coo

There was no better way for your parents to show how hip and trendy they were than to let their kid get a mohawk. These aren’t your parent’s parents! They listen to pre-American Idiot Green Day too! Radical!

 

10. The Crimp

When you said you wanted to crimp your hair, your dad thought you said Crips, and assumed you were joining a gang from playing too much Mortal Kombat. He was wrong. You just wanted to look like Sabrina, the Teenage Witch

 

11. The “You Have To Wear Pink or Blue to Identify Your Gender” Cut

You got that androgynous cut and your parents hated going to the store because, even if they put you in a pink dress with high heels and a headband that says “I AM A GIRL”, people would still come up and say, “Aww, he’s so cute!”

 

12. The Mullet (female edition)

You will never see a picture of a young girl smiling while she has a mullet. She knows it’s terrible, but what can she do about it now? You can’t repair that train wreck, so you just have to wait it out and hope the teasing doesn’t affect every relationship you have for the rest of your life.
