Enough said :)

2) Weight training does not make you “bulky.”

Okay ladies, this one needs to be made extremely clear. Pushing yourself hard in the gym will help make your physique lean and ripped. It’s steroids and cupcakes that will make you bulky, so hit the gym and embrace the good pain from lifting weights. I promise if you stick to it long enough you will see incredible results. 3) Crunches burn Abs, not body-fat.

As a trainer, I would say 95% of the women I work with ask for good Ab exercises. Now please hear me, Ab exercises are great, but it would take 250,000 crunches to burn 3,500 calories (1 pound). If you want to burn body-fat you have to work your big muscle groups and your heart. Yes, that means get sweaty and sore. Remember there are no short-cuts to the lean body you desire.

4) Regular #2s make for a healthy you.

For some reason women don’t like to address this one, yet it seems like a majority of the women I work with have serious issues in this area. If you’re not going #2 once a day, or once every other day this is an area of concern. Ladies, to be lean and healthy staying regular is crucial. If you’re not currently regular, slowly add in some foods high in fiber and make sure you’re drinking over 64oz of water a day.

5) You attract what you market.

12 Tips Every Woman Needs to Hear from Her Personal TrainerIf you want people to see you as a Proverbs 31 woman but you’re dressing like Rahab, you’re clearly sending mixed signals. And if you’re single, you don’t want to attract the creepy guy in the gym constantly checking out women in skimpy clothes anyway. So dress modest and remember if you market it, you will attract it.

6) Whey protein does not make you fat.

Whey protein digests quickly in your body and helps increase your lean body mass. I recommend taking 20-25g of whey protein immediately after your workout, and one as a snack during the day. Here is a link to the one Hayley and I use, and here are the cheapest places we have found to buy it (just click the link and you will be sent to the correct page for the protein):

Fitrx.com or Amazon.com

7) You give birth to babies, you are stronger then men, act like it in the gym! (Don’t be intimidated by the weight section)

If you have carried a baby in your belly and then given birth to it, you can strut your stuff in the gym. I promise the guy hogging the bench press might have big arms, but you have carried and delivered a baby, you are stronger! Walk in there with confidence and head into the weight room like you own the place. If you haven’t carried a baby, you endure rough days every month that would crush most men. If you can survive PMS you don’t need to be intimidated by the weight section.

8) Negative comparison is a cancer.

God has created each of you differently, wonderfully, and not one of you has the same body type. So admire other women, use it to motivate you, but be careful. If your admiration turns into a negative comparison, it will slowly start eating at your soul. This can be a cancer so strong it will drive you to give up, eat all the chocolate in the house, and have thoughts that will tell you to never go back to the gym or conversely it can drive you to cut up other women with your tongue. So please ladies, guard yourself against the power of negative comparison.

9) There is no secret to a lean body.

If someone comes up to you and promises a short-cut, or tells you there is an easy way, they are lying. Don’t buy into their marketing scheme, and stay focused. If you want the body you desire to live in, it is going to take hard work and consistent discipline to get there. And once you’re there, it’s going to take that same effort to maintain it. There is nothing easy about it, but fit definitely tastes better than junk food.

10) Wine might be good for your heart, but it’s terrible for your booty and your belly.

If you find yourself complaining about your booty or your belly, the solution is not in a glass of wine, even if it’s red. Wine is high in sugar, the alcohol will slow your metabolism down, and if taken too close to bed it can negatively impact a quality night’s sleep. So I recommend limiting wine intake to one glass, one night a week, if you drink wine.

11) Gossiping shows insecurity, encouragement shows strength.

If you want to show your true strength, don’t allow gossiping to be apart of your life. Focus on encouraging others and finding the strength in everyone you meet. This one isn’t easy, but it pays a higher return than any weight you will ever lift, or mile you will ever run.

12) There was only one perfect Man.

With the growth of social media over the past 5 years I have seen more marriages crumble with a grass is greener on the other side mentality. On social media guys can look like Rock Stars, but in real life they are just like every other guy. They sweat, they have different flaws in hygiene, they have difficulty sharing emotions with women, and they probably like action movies more than chick flicks. The truth is, every guy is a sinner that needs a Savior. Every guy needs the Holy Spirit to help Him love the woman in their life like Christ, because all of us men have issues. All of us. So please hear me ladies, the most important thing I can tell you is that there is a Man who died to show you perfect love, He gave His all for you, to show you that you’re cherished, and beautiful. His name is Jesus and He is the only one who can satisfy the longing in your heart for true love.

I want to encourage you, if you have never surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior, you can do it right where you are. He is waiting to give you the love your soul longs for.

Just pray this prayer:

Jesus, I have looked for love in so many areas but everything has left me void. I ask that you come into my heart to be my Lord and Savior. I surrender my life to you today, and I thank you for showing me your unconditional love by dying for me on the cross. Thank you for loving me just as I am, I commit my life to you today.

If you prayed that prayer let someone know. This is an AMAZING day in your life!! And please get connected in a local church.

If these tips blessed you, please share them with the women in your life. Thank you!
