There is no doubt that war changes the lives of everyone; whether the soldiers themselves, their communities, or the families.

No change, or pain, is greater than that of a loved one. We have the momentous task of caring for those left behind. One woman, who lost her son in war, is doing just that with Project Matthew Bears. Lisa Freeman lost her son, Matthew, to enemy fire in Afghanistan in 2009. The goal of Matthew Bears to create teddy bears for the children of lost servicemen and women out of the cloth of their uniforms. This project is completely free to any relative of a deceased military serviceman.
