Growing up Shelley always loved braiding, she would take any chance she could get to braid her family and friends hair.

And that’s when she started braiding her daughter Grace’s hair.

She braids Grace’s hair most days and takes a photo of the style in the morning before Grace leaves for school.

Having only 15-20 minutes on a school morning, some styles can’t be done in time, so she’ll leave it for the weekend.

Grace is fantastic, her mom has been styling her hair since she was a toddler so she doesn’t know any different.

It’s her quiet time for TV after she is ready for school so she is more than happy to sit there.

Shelley loves doing something that she’s passionate about and that Grace gets to be a part of it.

Grace is a sweet, affectionate and beautiful little girl—she’s everyone’s friend.

Grace’s hair is certainly noticed by a lot of people at school, dance and her other activities.

They’ve had people approach them on the street saying, “I know that girl!”, which is based solely on her having an unusual braid.

Shelley loves learning new styles, advancing her skills and challenging herself to create something new and unique.

Thinking of new styles is time consuming, but that’s because she always wants them to be unique.

Sometimes braiding seems more like art than an everyday hairstyle.
